Engineering the Arches
Steinman Luevano Structures, L.L.P. was established in 1998 in Austin, Texas to provide the highest quality structural engineering services. We operate with a dedication to client satisfaction and technical expertise. Specifically, Steinman Luevano Structures, L.L.P. is committed to effective solutions, efficient design, and proactive project management.
The principals offer 50 years of combined experience designing, investigating, and inspecting new and existing structures. This experience ranges from specifying structural alterations and renovations to designing major commercial and public buildings. These projects include residences, hospitals, churches, schools, libraries, jails, juvenile facilities, offices, warehouse facilities and parking garages. We have extensive experience with tilt-wall, pre-cast concrete, concrete, wood, masonry, light-gauge steel, and structural steel designs. Steinman Luevano has designed many sustainable structures, including a LEEDS Gold-rated EMS facility in Austin. With the use of the up-to-date design tool Revit, we are able to produce three-dimensional modeling of our projects.
In addition to being licensed to practice in Texas, Richard Luevano is licensed in Colorado, Missouri, Oklahoma and New Mexico and is certified by NCEES, which facilitates registration in most other states. Also, he is certified by the Texas Department of Insurance to design for high winds and perform windstorm inspections.
Steinman Luevano Structures is a certified HUB firm with the State of Texas Building and Procurement Commission and a certified MBE/DBE firm with TxDOT, the City of Austin, the City of Houston, the North Central and South Central Regional Certification agencies, and the Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority. The firm views involvement in public projects as an opportunity to serve the public, and we want to enhance our opportunity to make this contribution.
We believe in the importance of ongoing participation with both professional associations and technical organizations. We aspire to use the most up-to-date technology and understand that continuing education is absolutely crucial to that end. Currently, we maintain affiliations with the Structural Engineers Association of Texas, the National Society of Professional Engineers, the American Concrete Institute, the American Institute of Steel Construction, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the Masonry Society.
